ERC System is a Munich-based aviation startup that develops electrified aviation solutions for the most critical missions. The company’s hybrid-electric aircraft takes off vertically like a helicopter, but flies forward wing-borne, like an airplane. It provides high speeds, long ranges, and cost-efficient operations for patient, passenger, and cargo transport. ERC’s flagship product is a crewed, hybrid-electric lift-and-cruise aircraft optimized for interhospital patient transport.
Founded in 2020 by experienced aerospace professionals, ERC currently has approximately 60 employees and is backed by aerospace powerhouse IABG, a leading provider of testing and certification services for aircraft, spacecraft, and defense solutions. As (Junior) Electrical Propulsion System Engineer, your mission is to support the development, integration, and verification of our aircraft propulsion system from concept to flight. You contribute to ensure that the propulsion architecture, functions, interfaces, and requirements are translated into a robust, safe, and certifiable system solution.
Working closely with specialists from within and beyond the powertrain team, you contribute to the system-level definition and maturation of the electric propulsion system. In addition, you support the coordination of technical activities with suppliers, helping to ensure that externally developed components and systems are aligned with program needs, interfaces, and certification expectations.
